I want to see the Hannah Montana movie.
Yeah, I know...you dont even have to say how dumb I am.
I mean, I won't pay to see it....well, usually Brett pays for movie tickets anyway.....
Farmtown on facebook has been down for maintenance....I'm sort of going crazy. Lee Ann is right, I need a 12 step program.
There are all kinds of wild fires going on around Oklahoma. A lady I work with can see flames from her house and they have stuff packed up in the car just in case they have to abandon their house. A ton of people have lost their homes. The closest is about a 15 minute drive from me. This is the only time Oklahomans wish for a wall cloud containing storm to come through. My heart goes out to those people.
....for allowing me to leave work at 1:30 today :)
How did you know I wasn't in the mood to be productive today?
Please stick around so I will get out of work tomorrow too.
Your Friend,
Elisha
We're going to the Medieval Fair in Norman this weekend! I'm so excited! Gypsies, acrobats, camels, elephants, jesters! Shows and food and crafts....and jousting!!!
Yah!!
Oh, and it's FREE!
I have to start by saying that I hate the new layout! Hate hate hate! It's so not efficient at all. I miss being able to see everything on one page w/out having to click on anything! Grr.... I don't mind change at all, actually I welcome all changes, but this change is bad bad bad. I curse you vox!
Yesterday after work I picked up that hamster stuff I was telling you about. There is SO much of it in awesome condition and she took $10 for it all instead of $20. I went through it all lastnight and figured out what I want to keep, throw away and store. Tonight I'll clean it up and maybe go to Petsmart! Brett told me that I'm going to turn into the animal lady and that we'll have to convert the extra bedroom into a pet room. Fine by me!
We're suppose to go to dinner this evening with Jeremy & Chrissy. I hope I feel like being more sociable when that time comes. I just don't feel like I people person today.
My cousin text me yesterday asking if I wanted to take a road trip to Galveston, TX for Mardi Gras the first weekend of February. I'd have to take off work, which I don't want to do and since I'm not a big partier drinker anymore I don't think it would be worth my time and money to go. Also, I'd be with a bunch of her lesbian friends and they annoy me because all they do it talk to me about how straight I am and act. Yeah, that's because I like dick and I'm proud of it.
I have no work to do today at all. Hopefully after the 3:30 staff meeting we can all go home. Today I have Young and the Restless, Apprentice, and Run's House to watch. Speaking of Run's House...I'm so glad they got a baby!! I just think that show is so damn cute.
Finally Friday!
We had such a good time at the fair! It was SO expensive though! It cost $8 just to get in. We didn't ride any rides because of the price! Tickets were $1 each and the rides took at least 5 tickets. Armbands were like $30 or something like that. There was NO way I was going to let Brett pay that for a stupid ride. Maybe thats not expensive to some of you, but I'm use to little country county fairs near my hometown where it cost $10 for an armband! We did a lot of eating and played some games. We came back with a ton of stuffed animals! Since 2007 is the Centennial year for Oklahoma, they had some special cool little exhibits. One was the Frontier Experience that had people square dancing, little kids learning to rope, teepees and things like that. Brett and I had an Old Tyme Photo done that turned out so cute! I'll take a picture of the picture tonight. I love fairs!
The Rides!
Little Kids learning to Rope
Spam Burger anyone?
It's not St. Louis, but it's an arch!
Strange as it sounds, I've never been to a Farmers Market before. I did grow up in the middle of nowhere country with farmland everywhere, but where I come from there were just little produce stands or people would just park their truck on the side of the road and sell stuff out of the back of it.
I spent my lunch hour today at the Farmers Market here in Oklahoma City and OH MY GOD I'm in love! I orginally went for honey and I knew I could get local honey there. Honey? you ask....well I was told it would help with my allergies that I've developed by living in Oklahoma. At this point, I'm willing to try anything. The Market was amazing! Beautiful produce everywhere! They even had peanuts and taffy, antiques and homemade crafts. If I didnt have to come straight back to work, I would have spent tons of money in there.
Everything was so cheap! I got 3 tomatoes and 2 peaches, big beautiful ripe homegrown, for just under $2. How awesome is that?? I will never buy produce from a grocery store ever again!
Oh, and I did find honey. I got a 24oz Mason jar of it for $4.50...and it has a piece of comb inside :)
I <3 the OKC Farmers Market!!
Seriously...thats what the doctor said. I'm not use to all the ragweed in the air.
I have a "severe sinus/allergy infection". She wrote three different presciptions for me, one for cough, one for snot and an antibiotic. The nonstop headache I've had for two months? Well, it was the beginning of my sinus trouble. My blood pressure was also a bit high.
I went to a doctor who sends a lot of patients over to my clinic. Once they figured out who I was, they were super nice to me. I got the royal treatment! The waiting room was full of people, but as soon as I finished filling out my paperwork they took me to an exam room and not two minutes later one of the doctors came in. One of them kept saying "we need to get you well so that you can take care of our patients" While she was filling out all my paperwork and stuff, she started talking about some of the crazy people she's sent my way..haha. It's good to be able to put a face with a name. I think I found a good doc :)
Hopefully the drugs fix me...
